We all have roots. Places, people, animals, objects, observations, sounds, sensations, smells, tastes, work, play...
This blog is about my particular roots.
I was born and raised in rural Norway. At 14, on a visit to our capital, Oslo, I saw a mixed bill performed by the Norwegian National Ballet at the Opera. It changed my life forever: I was overcome by the beauty of the experience. As a consequence I've worked in the theater since my early teens. - My yearning for truth and reality overcame make believe, however, so for the last twenty-five years I've spent most of my time working in the health field as a therapist, clinical supervisor, and lecturer. Apart from the arts, three things have meant particularly much to me: Good hearted, constant, and truthful people; Sufism, especially the writings and work of Hazrat Inayat Khan; and Psychosynthesis. For many years I've divided my time between Oslo, Norway, and London, UK.
